PM West High School seniors earn scholarships & awards

Pocono Mountain West High School saluted members of the senior class at Senior Honors Night on May 20.  The seniors earned more than $56,600 in scholarships and awards presented at the event.  

 

The following students received scholarships and awards:  

  • Henri Alexandre –the Marge & James Fallon Memorial Scholarship ($1,000);
  • Christopher Argentieri – the Marge & James Fallon Memorial Scholarship ($1,000), and the Mount Pocono Rotary Club Scholarship ($500);
  • Joanna Baez – the Tobyhanna Elementary Center Student Government Association Scholarship ($500);
  • Elizabeth Barney – the Clear Run Intermediate School PTO Scholarship ($250);
  • Nicole Beckman – the Senator David G. Argall-Good Citizenship Award;
  • Victoria Costello – the Pocono Lions Club Scholarship ($1,000);
  • Cayden Dagnall – the Clear Run Elementary Center PTO Scholarship ($250);
  • William Fithian – the Chartwells Scholarship ($3,600), and the Nancy Sandel Scholarship ($600-$700);
  • Erin Flaherty – the Buck Hill Art Association of ($1,000), and Panther Pride American Cancer Society Scholarship ($500);
  • Cassie Girgenti – the Pocono Mountain Educational Support Professionals Scholarship  ($500), and the Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary Scholarship ($500);
  • William Gold – the C. Willis Dunlap Scholarship ($400);
  • Jordan Goldman – the Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society Award ($50);
  • Amanda Hejnowicz – the Galen Medina-Happaney Scholarship ($250);
  • Jeffrey Krisiak Jr. – the Great Value Markets Scholarship ($1,000);
  • Kaytlyn Krisch – the Pocono Lions Club Scholarship ($1,000);
  • David LaChance – the Ray A Kroc Youth Achievement Award ($200);
  • Marc Lopez – the Pocono Mountain Chamber of Commerce Youth Appreciation Award;
  • James LoPresti – the Italian Mutual Benefit Association Scholarship ($1,500), and the Michael R. Lacey Memorial Scholarship ($250);
  • Kristen Marventano - the Blakeslee Rotary Club Scholarship ($1,500);
  • Heather McConnell – the Keystone College Leadership Award ($9,500 over 4 years);
  • Christopher McLane – the Pocono Mountain Penn State Club Scholarship ($700);
  • Vinelys Mendez – the Pocono Farms Country Club Association Scholarship ($1,500);
  • Sydney Moore – the C. Willis Dunlap Scholarship ($400);
  • Kimberly Morales – the Knights of Columbus Council #4159 Scholarship ($100);
  • Craigh Morgan – the Megan Mack Memorial Scholarship ($500);
  • Laura Namik – the Chartwells Scholarship ($3,600), and the American Legion Post 413/Wilson Fisher Memorial Scholarship ($500);
  • Sarah O’Connor – the Meredith Lamm-Ashton Memorial Scholarship ($1,000);
  • Francis Odita – the Chartwells Scholarship ($3,600);
  • Robert Pifer – the Emerald Lake Women’s Club Scholarship ($500);
  • Matthew Planer – the Senator David G. Argall-Good Citizenship Award, the Clear Run Intermediate School PTO Scholarship ($250), the Pocono Farms Country Club Association Scholarship ($1,500), the Pocono Pines Improvement Association Scholarship ($500), and the Tobyhanna Athletic Scholarship ($250);
  • Shannon Pope – the Blakeslee Rotary Club Scholarship ($1,500),  the Marge & James Fallon Memorial Scholarship ($1,000), and the Tobyhanna Army Depot Federal Credit Union Scholarship ($500);
  • Joseph Refolo – the Jeaneane Pavlicka Memorial Scholarship ($1,500);
  • Megan Rosten – the Sandra Meyer Memorial Scholarship ($500);
  • Katrina Sciarrone – the Alfred H & Ada O. Repp Scholarship ($660), the Matthew Cuadra Memorial Emerald Lakes Association Scholarship ($100), the Kiwanis Club of Stroudsburg Scholarship ($1,250), the Sons of the American Revolution Good Citizenship Medal, and the Steven Mitchel Memorial Scholarship ($500);
  • Evan Spiker – the Tobyhanna Elementary Center PTO Award ($1,000), the Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary Scholarship ($500);
  • Nicholas Tanacredi – the Michael Howard Memorial Scholarship ($500);
  • Laleta Teajman – the Matthew Cuadra Memorial Emerald Lakes Association Scholarship ($100);
  • Sydney Warren – the Michael R. Lacey Memorial Scholarship ($250);
  • Saffiya Washington – the Pocono Lions Club Scholarship ($1,000);
  • Kaitlyn Weiss – the Pocono Mountain Women’s Club Scholarship ($500);
  • Hope Wicks – the Tobyhanna Elementary Center PTO Award ($1,000);
  • Marika Zeldenrust – the Curtis M. & Jan H. Texter Horticulture Scholarship Fund ($1,000),  The Monroe County Garden Club Scholarship ($750), the Clear Run Elementary Center PTO Scholarship ($250), and the Pocono Lions Club Scholarship ($1,000).
