The Human Resources Department handles all aspects of Professional and Support Staff positions for the Pocono Mountain School District. We encourage you to carefully read the following information in order for us to better process your application.

All positions require the submittal of the original results of the following legislatively required background checks at time of hire:

Act 34 Criminal Record Check (webpage application)

Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance (Adobe Acrobat format)

Act 114 FBI Federal Criminal History Record (webpage application)

The Pocono Mountain School District accepts applications through our on-line Job Applicant Center.

Current available administrative, professional (PDE certificated), and support staff positions are posted.  An on-line application should be completed for each position for which you wish to be considered.  The Job Applicant Center provides applicants the opportunity to upload / attach documents to their application.  Interested applicants should apply on-line.

An email address is required for all appplicants to register and to submit applications.  The email address you provide will receive a message confirming your completed on-line application.  If you do not receive a confirming email your application has not been accepted.

All applicants should consider attaching the following information: cover letter, resume, certifications, recommendations, and clearances.

Please read all instructions on the top of each page to complete your application.  Fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are required before the system will allow you to move to the next page.  Per Disrtict policy, we will maintain applications for one year and then delete them from our files.

If you have difficulty entering your information or attaching documents to your application please mail paper copies to the Human Resouces Office. If you have questions about the on-line job application system email them to jobcenter@pmsd.org.

Daily Substitute for Professional Staff

If you have an interest in becoming a daily substitute teacher, hold a Bachelors degree from an accredited university/college and have prior teaching experience, please complete the On line Application for the Daily Substitute Teaching Position by clicking on the link below:

If you meet the above criteria, but do not have prior teaching experience,
you must contact Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 to obtain an emergency certification.  Upon completion of obtaining the emergency certification you may then complete the  Daily Substitute Application as described above. Please click on the following link to obtain registration information for Colonial Intermediate Unit 20.
