The Pocono Mountain School District, compromising of 305 square miles, is connected by excellent highways to the major metropolitan centers of Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and the District of Columbia. New York City and Philadelphia are both approximately 100 miles away.

The District is comprised of the townships of Barrett, Coolbaugh, Jackson, Paradise, Pocono, Tobyhanna and Tunkhannock and the Borough of Mount Pocono.

Boy Scouts The Boy Scouts of America was incorporated to provide a program for community organizations that offers effective character, citizenship, and fitness training for youth. Scouting begins with Cub Scouts for boys in the 1st grade through the middle of 5th grade and Boy Scouts for older boys.


Monroe County Recreation The Monroe County Recreation program offers Adult Programs, Aquatic Programs, Athletic Programs, Bus Trips, Community Interest Program, Discount Tickets, Youth & Teen Programs and more. Click on the link above to view the current brochure of opportunities.
Monroe County Senior Centers Click on the attached link to view a listing of senior centers in the region.
Monroe County Arts Council MCAC has originated and developed many services and programs that enrich the cultural atmosphere for artists, residents and visitors to the Poconos.
Northampton Community Horizons for Youth A variety of programs exist for students and parents to take advantage of during the school year; for fun or to get help with your school work. Special classes are offered for parents and kids to take together. Youth programming in Monroe County is offered at the Monroe Campus-Tannersville and Fountain Court-Bartonsville for Monroe county residents.
Playgroups, Inc. Playgroups, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to parents and their children (infant through preschoolers). Their mission is to help develop both the child and the parent through educational and social programs. They help set up small groups of parents who then decide where, when, and how often to meet with each other.
Pocono Commuter Network Pocono Commuter strives to provide an informative resource of information for both the commuter and potential commuter in regards to living in and commuting from the Poconos.
Pocono Mountain West Little League Little League is a total youth sports program serving your entire community with baseball and softball programs for boys and girls, ages 5-16,for the past 30+ years.
Pocono YMCA The Pocono YMCA serves nearly 6,000 members and program participants throughout the year. The YMCA's strongest program areas are youth programs, older adults' programs, aquatics, and fitness.

Youth Association of Pocono Mountain YAPM is a community-based volunteer program dedicated to developing good sportsmanship and promoting positive team spirit among our youth football and cheerleading participants. YAPM serves the entire Pocono Mountain school district.
Big Pocono Little League Challenger Program Big Pocono Little League is excited to offer a baseball program for mentally and physically disabled children ages 5-18, or up to 21 (if still in school). The program is open to all residents of Monroe County. The Big Pocono Little League Challenger Program will provide disabled children with a safe, fun and wholesome baseball experience.
