In brief, this plan, based on research found in the works of Dr. Victoria Bernhardt, Dr. Charlotte Danielson, and W. Edwards Demming, provides a structure that allows district leaders to:
- identify and describe the organization;
- collect and analyze data;
- build a district portfolio;
- design action plans;
- monitor the implementation of the action plans;
- evaluate the action plans independently as well as the overall plan.
Our Pocono Mountain School District Strategic Plan will continue to appear on our website and will be updated periodically to meet the ever changing instructional needs of students. The development of a strategic plan, however, includes far more participants than just an administrative team. Other stakeholders should include: students, parents, strategic business partners, member of the community-at-large, teachers, support staff, and principals. Again, we welcome your suggestions.
