Students began preparing for this science competition in September. The Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science at PM East High School and Swiftwater Intermediate School provides opportunities for students to stretch their intellectual proficiency. The program challenges students to conduct research and present their findings in the same manner as professional scientists. Students must use scientific methodology to conduct and analyze self designed experiments. The results of their experiment work are then defended to a panel of judges. The participants gain valuable experience in the use of science research techniques, organizational skills, and public speaking. | Posted on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 (Archive on Wednesday, March 19, 2008) Posted by wfrable Contributed by
