| Clear Run Elementary Center hosted a Disability Awareness Week celebration during the week of Oct. 8 to 12. The annual event helps students develop an awareness and appreciation of the challenges people with disabilities live with everyday.
The school held a “Kids on the Block” puppet show with the help of the Student Council. The week culminated with Disability Awareness Game night for students and families of Clear Run Elementary Center.
Game Night helped community members develop an awareness and appreciation for people who have no choice but to deal with physical challenges. Participants participated in games where they had to overcome a simulated disability. Each game had a challenging twist to it. |
