It’s prom season for high school students across the region, but they aren’t the only ones who can enjoy a prom this year. Pocono Mountain East High School Leo club is hosting a special prom for senior citizens.
The Pocono Mountain East High School Senior Citizens Prom will take place on Friday, April 25 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. The event is free and open to senior citizens who live in Pocono Mountain School District. The event will include food, beverages, music for dancing, and the opportunity to mingle and meet other senior citizens in the area.
Senior citizens wishing to attend the prom should contact Johanna Weaver at (570) 972-4342 between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. or by email to jweaver@pmsd.org. Reservations are required to attend.
The Leo Club is sponsoring this event to show appreciation for senior citizens. The club will also accept donations of used eye glasses at the event for the Regional Lion’s Club.
