The History of Clear Run Elementary CenterOur school opened in 1997, and although we are relatively new, we have a wealth of history. Upon opening, our school was named Pocono Mountain Elementary Center. However, our name has been changed to reflect the area in which we are located. The small stream (Clear Run Creek) behind the intermediate school is actually how we got our name. The vast woodlands and wetlands that surround our school were once the home to panthers. Coincidentally that is how our mascot became a panther. Our school colors are blue and gray. We have more than 800 students in grades K-5 attending our school. Our population is quite diverse due to our prime location which is just a short commute from the metropolitan areas of New York and New Jersey. All of the backgrounds and experiences that the students bring to our school make us a "melting pot" of knowledge.
