The SGA gives students a great chance to represent their classmates, have their voices heard by the school administration, and make some changes in their school. Students who are elected to the SGA open, run, and maintain the school store each morning and afternoon. They assist the PTO with their fall festival. They hold two can food drives a year to support the Monroe County Ecumenical Society, and also help them make their fall baskets for families in the neighborhood. They volunteered to work at our recent Disabilities Awareness game night. They coordinate collection activities for Make-a-Wish, the American Cancer Society, Pediatric Cancer Institute, and Toys for Tots just to name a few. The SGA is a wonderful way for students to get involved in their communities and make a difference. |
