Fourth Grade Chorus
The fourth grade chorus meets twice during the six day cycle. Interested students from Cecconi, McEvoy, and Santamaria meet on Day 3, and students from Dus, Kresge, and Minster meet on Day 4. Rehearsals are held from 2:40-3:20. Approximately 70 students are participating in the winter chorus. Our winter concert will be held in the school cafeteria on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. The concert will feature songs from The Polar Express, as well as seasonal songs about Christmas and Hanukkah. Assemblies for the school will be held on December 6 as well. Times will be announced at a later date.
The Fourth Grade Chorus will perform its annual spring concert, Disney Movie Magic, on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. The performance will be held in the school cafeteria. The concert will feature Disney movie favorites. Plan on bringing your family and friends for this entertaining performance. The chorus will also perform at the school on Thursday, May 1 for the following grades: Grades K, 3, and 4 at 9:15 a.m., Grades 5-6 at 10:00 a.m., and Grades K-2 at 2:15. Chorus members should dress appropriately for all of the performances. The Elementary Songfest was held at Pocono Mountain East High School on Saturday, April 12, 2008. The fourth graders who participated in this year’s festival are Matthew Daning, Miranda Rodriguez, Sophia Santiago, Jai-La Aponte, Evan Zangakis, John Harris, and Tahira Zimmerman.

5th Grade Chorus
The PEC choral program is an elective open to students who enjoy singing. Students meet once in the six day cycle for 40 minutes. Grade 5 students meet on DAY 2 and grade 6 students meet on DAY 5.
Proper posture, singing technique, diction, following a vocal score, singing independently, alone and as part of 2 or 3 part harmony are some of the skills studied in rehearsal. Programs are scheduled each year for the winter and spring. Students enrolled for the full year are eligible to audition for the Elementary Song Fest. Parents and friends are welcome to attend these performances.
