What We Do
SGA at Pocono Mountain East is dedicated to the students and student traditions. Below are several things that we do as an organization to cater to these special and time honored events.
Ring Ceremony

Powder Puff Game
•A football game…Senior vs. Junior class
•All participants receive a t-shirt with an individualized name, number, and slogan
•Teachers participate by donating their time to advise, referee, work the scoreboard, and announce the game.
Veteran’s Day Assembly
•To recognize the service of past and present veterans.
•They will share their experiences and be acknowledged for what they have done for our country.
Breakfast of Champions
•Teachers nominate a student who has gone above and beyond normal expectations.
•This can include grades, behavior, attitude, participation, etc.
•Each teacher at East High School is able to nominate one person per marking period.
East Appreciation of Teachers and Staff
Denim Day
•October 5, 2007
•East campus teachers and staff raised over $1300.
•Teachers wore pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness or red to support athletics (with their denim)
