EAP Tutoring (Educational Assistance Program)  

The Pocono Mountain School District is pleased to offer an enjoyable after school learning experience for your child.

The Secondary After School Reading and Math Program is part of the Governor’s Tutorial Initiative.  Students who qualify for this program will work with a school district employee, in small groups, to improve their reading and math skills.

Groups will meet after school two days each week and transportation home from these sessions will be provided by district school buses.  Each student will receive approximately 20 sessions of instruction per semester at no cost.  If you have any questions about the program, please contact Mr. Barbush, SIS Principal. 

Students who did not score proficient were eligible for the fall program based on their last year's PSSA score.  As the year progresses, the 4-Sight test will be used as a measure for students sor students' eligibility. 

The after school tutoring program began on October 9, 2007.  Over one hundred students and seventeen teachers are participating in the program.
