It's Tick Season!

It’s Tick Season in the Poconos!

If you are going outside our WJHS building to play ball with your classmates, participate in gym class, or enjoy the Honor Roll cookout; ALWAYS do a tick check before you come inside.

Here is where you need to look for ticks:

The two most common species of ticks in Monroe County are Deer Ticks and Dog Ticks. Deer Ticks can transmit the bacteria responsible for Lyme disease.

Why do we do Tick checks?

We want to stay as healthy as we can and prevent Lyme Disease!

If you see any ticks, brush them off. If they do not come off, go to the nursing office and see Nurse Debbie or Nurse Sarah.
