PM West Speech & Debate: Time to prepare for the speech Grand National Tournament

 

POCONO MOUNTAIN SCHOOL DISTRICT, Swiftwater, Pa. – Pocono Mountain West High School’s Speech and Debate team is preparing for the Grand National Tournament after their solid performance at the Scranton Catholic Forensic League competition at Shikellamy High School on March 2.

 

All six students on the team qualified to compete at the 2019 National Catholic Forensic League Grand National Tournament in Milwaukee, WI, over Memorial Day weekend. The high school orators headed to the Grand National Tournament are senior Jamise Sealey, juniors Gabriella Quinnones and Kaylie Dunlap, and sophomore Paulina Tes, representing the school in Policy Debate.  Freshman Lizzie O’Donnell placed first in Extemporaneous Speaking at Scranton’s qualifying tournament, and senior Faith DeJesus qualified in Extemporaneous Speaking.
