Pocono Mountain East Marching Band earned the only Superior rating of all eight bands in attendance of the First Flag Over the United Colonies band festival in Easton on Saturday, September 24.

The East Band also won awards for most outstanding music, most outstanding marching, and most outstanding visual effects at the 48^th year of the band competition.

The music festival commemorates the first American flag, which had 13 stars and 13 stripes and was glowing on July 8, 1776 in Easton.
