A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

Let me start by extending a warm Tobyhanna Elementary Center welcome to each and everyone of you. We are so pleased that you and your child(ren) are part of our family. At TEC we take great pride in providing quality education in a safe, nurturing environment. The foundation of our success is that we get to know each and every student as the unique person that they are. Our staff of teachers understands that every student has differing strengths and weaknesses. Consequently, the services we provide are tailored to the individual needs of each student. However, the care, concern, and support you see extended to every student never differs. Furthermore, the teachers, staff, and administrators at Tobyhanna Elementary Center know the value of community support for public schools. The generous support of our local community is evident in our beautiful outdoor classroom! 

Our nearly 600 students come from the townships of Tobyhanna, Tunkhannock, and a portion of Coolbaugh Township.  Our grades range from kindergarten to sixth. Besides the traditional academic programs, we also offer support and special education classes at every grade level.  Additionally, our students get the added bonus of quality music, art, library science, and gym instruction. Finally, we also offer numerous opportunities to be involved in a variety of extra-curricular activities, including but not limited to Odyssey of the Mind, Fun and Fitness, chorus, student government, Future Teachers of America, and band.
