  • Morning Call Player of the Year!

    Congratulations to PM East Cardinal baseball player Zach McCambley who won The Morning Call Player of the Year award and was honored on The Morning Call “Calling All Sports” Radio Show.

  • Spring Incentive

    On Friday, June 2nd, students from all grade levels who have demonstrated East Pride will be recognized with an all day reward. Students who are participating have no unexcused absences, no referrals and no failing grades for the third and fourth marking periods.

  • PM East Band Concert

    The PM East Spring Band Concert will be held on Friday, May 26th at 7:00 P.M. in the East High School auditorium. The concert will showcase the Jazz Lab Band, Jazz Ensemble, 9-10 band and the 11-12 band. We will have an eclectic mix of music from Mid-Evil to Jazz to Latin to Broadway to Programmatic Music. In addition, Seniors Mary Bolan, Tori Padmos, Velvet Salgado and Tina Delano will be singing their favorite Broadway song in character with the Concert Band. These groups have worked hard all year long and have done very well performing in various events. Prepare to be blown away by the talent!

  • Sports News

    Today the Cardinal softball team travels to Northampton HS for the first round of District XI playoffs beginning at 4:00 pm. Our baseball team also travels to Freedom for their District XI quarterfinal game beginning at 4:30 pm. On Friday and Saturday, senior Khyasia Caldwell and freshman Kiaya Jones will be competing in the the PIAA State Track and Field Championships. Khyasia will be competing in the 200 m and long jump, and Kiaya will be competing in the 100 m hurdles. Good luck to all our athletes!

  • PM East Jazz Festival

    You're invited for a day of Jazz Music. Admission to the Jazz Festival is $5 for adults, $3 for students with ID and senior citizens, and children 10 and under are free. Come for a little; stay for a lot. The first band performs at 10:00 A.M. at the East HS Auditorium. Breakfast and lunch will be sold throughout the day provided by the Pocono Mountain Cardinal Music Boosters.

  • PM East All Sports Booster Tricky Tray

    On Sunday, April 30th, the PM East Sports Booster will be holding a fundraiser tricky tray which is open to the public. Doors open at 12:00 P.M. and calling starts at 2:30 P.M.   • Marywood Math Competition Winners

    Congratulations to the following students who recently placed in the Marywood Math Competition: Eric Dittmar: 9th out of 60 students; Alex Lindenbaum: 5th out of 95 students; Kristina Rinaldi and Rocco Polimeni: 7th out of 95 students; Michael Olsen: 9th out of 95 students

  • District XI - AAA Swimming & Diving Championship Meet

    On Saturday, March 4th, the PM East Swim Team competed in the District XI - AAA Swimming & Diving Championship Meet. Almost all the team members swam personal bests. In addition, the following swimmers broke school records: Lauren Fenn (10th) broke her existing 50 free record of 25.25 set in 2016 with a new time of 24.97. She also placed 5th in the district! Benjamin Gonzalez (9th) broke the 500 free record of 5:04.92 set by Tyler Dalton in 2014 with a new time of 5:01.44. He also placed 14th in the district! The Girls' Relay Team of Lauren Fenn (10th), Emma Withey (10th), Nevaeh Williams (9th) and Nadine Parrish (12th) broke the 18 year old, 400 free Relay record of 3:52.98 set by Zych, Travis, Stranger and Pero in 1999 with a new time of 3:48.42. They also placed 6th in the district! Congratulations to the entire team!

  • PA Farm Show Winners

    At the PA Farm Show, senior Kailyn Seashock won second place in the flower arrangement category, and Junior Natalie Hammerstone won second place in the bridal bouquet category.

  • Khyasia Caldwell Named Student Athlete of the Week!

    PM East Senior Khyasia Caldwell was named Coordinated Health Athlete of the Week on January 26. According to The Morning Call reporter Tom Mugavero, “Khyasia Caldwell had a busy week on the basketball court, averaging 14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in three games as the Pocono Mountain East girls basketball team improved to 12-5 this season. She is this week's Coordinated Health Athlete of the Week by fan voting.”

  • Wind Band Festival Participants

    Tori Padmos (Oboe), Reagan Whitney (Bassoon), Gene Boone (Baritone Sax), Vishal Forde (Alto Saxophone), Rueben Pugliese (Percussion), William Marvantano (Trumpet) and Bridget Kresge (Trombone) were all accepted in the Marywood Sr. Wind Band Festival out of all the schools in Northeast PA. They will be performing in a concert on Saturday, January 21. Congratulations to all!

  • Region Chorus Participant

    Congratulations to Athena Rajnai for being chosen to represent Pocono Mountain School District at Region Chorus. This is a prestigious ensemble made up of the top singers from eastern Pennsylvania.

  • Cardinal Wrestlers Place at Tunkhannock Tournament

    The varsity wrestlers participated in the 2-day Tunkhannock Kiwanis' Tournament over winter break. Congratulations to the following Cardinal top place finishers: Devon Jacobi finished 5th at 160 lbs., Braden Breithaupt finished 4th at 120 lbs. and James Benjamin finished 1st at 145 lbs.

  • Mr. Robert Luciano Wins Teaching Excellence in Computer Science Award

    On December 9th, Computer Science teacher Robert Luciano was one of only ten recipients of the Award for Teaching Excellence in Computer Science. Mr. Luciano will be further recognized at the Computer Science Teachers Association conference that is being held in July of 2017 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Welcome to the on-line portal for Pocono Mountain East High School, located in Swiftwater, Pennsylvania.  East High School has an enrollment of 1450 students in grades 9-12 and our building, constructed in 1993, provides excellent facilities for our students, staff, and the community.  We are proud of our students' efforts in academics, co-curricular activities, athletics and the arts.
