Good Morning WJHS! 

Here are your announcements for Friday, May 16th, 2025.

 

Happy birthday to 7th grader Princess Williams from Ms. McManus’ homeroom!

 

The library will be CLOSED P2 - end of day today.  Any student that needs to borrow a Chromebook or charger needs to be sent to the library during HR or Period 1 to see Ms. Dorward to borrow one.   The library will NOT be open for lunches.

 

Hey students:  just a friendly reminder to do your SEL wellness check-ins EACH DAY during homeroom!

 

Those students who received a recommendation form for WJHS LIVE! need to turn them in to Mr. Burney ASAP for consideration into the crew for next year.  

 

Chromebook collection dates for students are quickly coming up on May 27th, 28th and 29th.  All Chromebooks must be CLEAN and free of any writing on them, pencil or pen marks or stickers that you put on them.  Remember, the district charges $25.00 each for missing chargers and/or chromebook cases!  

 

Hey students! At some point in the year 2050, you will want to check out what our hairstyles look like during the 2020s. Your yearbook can provide that memory! Grab one while you can. We only have about 12 remaining copies for sale! Go to jostens.com to order yours today.

 

The Newspaper is still looking for Students to submit creative writing or original art/drawings for Spring/Summer Edition. Students who participate will receive a reward.  See Ms. Husted in room 330 for more details

 

The WJHS Food Pantry Pass out is each Thursday during 9th period in room B341.  You must sign up before 8AM each Thursday. 

 

The library will be CLOSED for lunches today.

 

The library is open all day and even for students to visit during their lunch periods! Students MUST sign up by 9AM using the Google Form on the school website under SCHOOL NEWS. 

 

Students are reminded to use their Chromebook cases to protect their Chromebook from accidental drops and damage.  FYI:  the district charges $50.00 to replace a broken screen.

 

The daily deadline to borrow a Chromebook or charger is 9AM sharp.  Please remember that 3 borrows = an after school detention.  ALL technology that is borrowed for the day MUST be returned by 2PM.

 

Any student who would like to submit a birthday shoutout for themselves or another student, please submit your request at our school website.  Look under “School News” for the link.  All requests must be submitted at least ONE DAY in advance.
