• National Junior Honor Society is a program open to the eighth graders at Pocono Mountain East Junior High School. Student grades from the seventh grade will be used to determine eligibility for eighth grade students. Students may be inducted in the fall of their eighth grade if requirements are met. Students are first notified by letter if they have met the grade requirements for consideration. An application accompanies the letter which must be completed and returned within a two week period. Applications are evaluated by a faculty council and members are notified of the decision in writing.

How to qualify for the Pocono Mountain East Junior High chapter:

    • Students must maintain a minimum grade of 95 in all core subjects for the entire previous school year
    • Students must maintain a minimum grade of 90 in all related arts for the entire previous school year
