Dear 7th & 8th Grade Students,
Welcome to PMSD East Junior High School
PMSD East Junior High School is a place where we provide our students with meaningful learning opportunities and foster responsible citizens. All staff members share responsibility for all students' academic and social progress. We expect our students to be Prepared, Respectful, Involved, Dependable, and Empathetic and follow our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school-wide framework across all school settings. The goal of PBIS is to establish a predictable, consistent, and positive school culture for all students and staff. PBIS schools focus on prevention, intercede to correct individual student behavior “miscues,” and acknowledge students who model the expected behavior. The building at PMSD EJHS and the classrooms of EJHS display wonderful student-created work reflecting the application of state standards and reminders of our PBIS matrix. Teachers challenge students to set goals, track progress, and always strive for a high level of success. Our students enjoy coming to school as a result of the relationships built and support provided by our staff. We look forward to the 24-25 school year, the changes that come our way, and the opportunity to work with all members of our community to foster a positive learning environment for our junior high school students.
With Cardinal Pride,
Dr. Vogt, Principal (8th Grade) & Ms. Snyder, Assistant Principal (7th Grade)
