Pocono Mountain School District understands the many challenges our families are facing due to the COVID-19 school closures. We are committed to supporting your efforts in creating a schedule, structure, and daily routine while children are at home. Our administrative team has carefully researched resources to assist your efforts and support the reinforcement and maintenance of previously learned skills to keep children engaged in the educational process while schools remain closed across Pennsylvania.
8:00 – 9:00
9:00 – 10:00
Look around you while you walk. Look for unique things in nature, count shapes on signs and buildings, and discuss what’s around you.
10:00 – 11:00
No electronics during this time. Work on crosswords, write in a journal, practice math facts, practice sight words, and review
11:00 – 12:00
Electronics permitted. Make a craft. Build a Minecraft world, do a dance, sing
Read! Do a puzzle. Relax.
1:30 – 3:00
Electronics permitted. Use the PMSD resources listed below!
3:00 – 4:00
Afternoon Fresh Air
Go outside, walk your dog, ride a bike, use sidewalk chalk, play 4 Square, shoot hoops, throw ball.
