Once on the BASE site, click the login in the upper right-hand corner and select the appropriate age/grade range.
Offering a free course teaching the basic facts about the Coronovirus, including how to protect yourself. In addition, the course will answer many questions that students are asking.
Instructions for accessing the BASE COVID-19 COURSE(S):
METHOD 1: To access ONLY the new Coronavirus course, direct your student population (even those who have not yet had a personal account created) to the student website (course.base.education) and provide them with the following login credentials:
Username – covid19
Password – covid19
This course offers the same Social Emotional Learning content as the traditional BASE courses that you are familiar with. However, as an instructional version, it will NOT capture student responses or track progress, eliminating the need for staff to monitor progress or fireword notifications.
METHOD 2: To access the new Coronavirus course, PLUS a suite of “wrap around” courses, selected specifically to assist students in dealing with thoughts, feelings, and stressors induced by this current pandemic, direct your students to the same website (course.base.education) and provide them with the following login:
Username – covid.pack
Password – covidpack
Upon login, students will have access to “The Coronovirus” course, along with the following courses:
- Black and White Thinking
- Character Traits
- Coping Strategies
- Future Goals
- Healthy Communication
- Learned Helplessness
- Self Esteem
- Vision of Self
Since these courses are in a generic login format, they will NOT capture student responses or track progress, eliminating the need for staff to monitor progress or fireword notifications.
